In addition to our main activity of providing fire/arson investigation training programmes we work in harmony with other reputable organisations and can provide a range of related consultancy services including scene support.

We have assisted a number of public sector authorities carry our Police and Practice Reviews. As a consequence it was some of GA earliest fire service clients that first signed up to the tiered response concept and drafted the original Memorandums of Understanding.

 

We have assisted both private and public sector clients carry out a range of specific tests including aerosol explosions, electrical appliance failures, burns distribution on manikins, detection of ignitable liquid etc.

 

Using our unique fire ground facility we have also supported fire/crime-related research projects into:

 

  • Imported furniture
  • Lighted candles
  • The recovery of fingerprints and DNA from instrumented fire scenes.
  • Blood distribution at fire scenes.
  • The recovery of data from fire damaged computer hard drives.

 

With two purpose-built compartments dedicated to general crime scene examination we are able to offer bespoke scenes-of-crime training exercise facilities to scientific support departments, universities etc.
